What we are About
Leadership for All-Life
The One Earth Leadership Consortium is guided by an all-life orientation that respects the interconnectedness and protects the interests of all life forms on this planet including humans, nonhumans, and the Earth. Collectively, we aspire to create innovative ways forward, beginning with reimagining the purpose of business, models of leadership, and organizational value creation within a fully holistic context.
Elevating strategy, enlivening purpose, and building leadership capacity to benefit all-life
The state of the world is undergoing significant transformation and will continue to do so. The ecological crisis, social inequalities, and the degradation of mental and physical health must be understood as interconnected, and in relationship to the inadequacy of many existing models, policies, and systems.
Collectively, these are not distinct issues and cannot be properly addressed within the mindset that created them. Technological, economic, and policy strategies are required. As are fundamental shifts in the way we perceive ourselves, our organizations, the world and our relatedness to all of life.
This involves questioning the assumptions and stories we individually and collectively live and work by, opening ourselves to the possibility of change, and listening deeply for what is life sustaining.
The journey to an all-life orientation also requires leaders to know and understand themselves and their organizations within an holistic paradigm; to learn and act in partnership with the natural world; and to create compassionate, resilient, and regenerative communities. Together, these are the elements of strategic leadership to benefit all life.
Working Together
A community of practice focused on developing leaders with a holistic and all-life orientation who envision and inspire a regenerative future.
An all-life orientation to the leadership needs of the planet requires a collaborative approach based on mutual purpose, supported by a collective of organizations, who work in partnership to co-develop strategic leaders. This is both a process and a model of interdependency and self-governance, that guides leadership development for all Consortium members and the stakeholders they engage with.
